General Instruction:

  • ONLINE applications are invited from interested candidate or engagement of Act Apprentices for imparting training the Apprentic %ct 1961 in the designated trades at Workshop North Western Railway. Applications complete m all respects lhould lie’ submitted only ONLINE till the closing date.
  • Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidate,ewho apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared for the purpose on the basis of percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done. The panel will be on the basis of simple average of marks in the matriculation and IT . For the purpose of calculation of percentage of matriculation, marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or a group of subjects. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of ITI marks, marks mentioned in the provisionaVfinal certificate will be reckoned
  • In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
  • The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications and mode of selection shall be final.
  • Imparting Training in Railway will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after successful completion of training. In terms of para-10 of Schedule V of the Apprenticeship Rules,1991, notified on 15.07.92 by the Ministry of Labour, it shall not be obligatory on the part of the employer to offer any employment to the Apprentice on completion of period of his/her apprenticeship training in his / her establishment. It shall not be obligatory on the part of the apprentice to accept an employment under the employer. Imparting Training in Railway will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after completion of Training.
  • No correspondences for engagement will be entertained.
  • CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL DISQUALIFY THE CANDIDATURE AND NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERTAINED IN THE MATTER.
  • Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria, at any stage of engagement and if erroneously engaged, such candidates shall be summarily dismissed without notice.
  • Candidature of the candidate shall be cancelled if he/she fails to produce the required original testimonials for verification or any otherAisTancy noticed.
  • If it is noticed by the Railway administration that .the applicant has furnished wrong/fake Certificates / false certificates, the Railway adm inistration reserves the right to discharge the candidate / selected candidate at ans stage without notice even after his selection to undergo training.
  • The Railway administration does not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the candidates not selected or nA.called for..:No correspondence in respect of the application submitted, shall be entertained or replied by this office to any individual or organization.
  • The Railway administration will not be responsible for any printing error.
  • No daily allowance / conve) ance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid to the candidate who will be called for document verification.
  • Candidates need not send any application printouts or certificates or copies to RRC by post. The candidature of the’caiididates will be considered only on the strength of the information furnished in the ONLINE application.
  • Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen to the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces plus 03 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months service at a stretch. except Ex-servicemen who have already joined the Govt, service on Civil side after availing the servicemen status for the purpose of their engagement. However, regardless of community, Ex-servicemen will he considered against the Ex-servicemen quota, if available. If UR vacancies are not available then only Ex. serviceman belonging to those particular communities where vacancies are available will be considered against the ex-servicemen quota.
  • The candidates who want to avail the benefit of reservation of E, -servicemen and Armed Forces Personnel. must produce Dis-chargt certificate and in case of children of Ex-servicemen nd children of Forces Personnel, they must produce discharge certificate or Armed For6es serving certificate respectively (as the case ray be) of his/her parents at the time of document verification.

  • The North Western Railway (abbreviated NWR and उपरे) is one of the 18 railway zones in India. It is headquartered at Jaipur, with 59,075+ employees, 658+ stations and a route length of more than 5761 km across at least some parts of four states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana (c. 2009). NWR operates international rail service Thar Express from Jodhpur to Karachi. This zone is the key enabler of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project by virtue of running railways 1,500 km long Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
  • In 1882, a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) wide metre gauge line from Marwar Junction to Pali was built by the Rajputana Railway. It was extended to Luni in 1884 and Jodhpur on 9 March 1885. New Jodhpur Railway was later combined with Bikaner Railway to form Jodhpur-Bikaner Railway in 1889, when the Bikaner Princely State and Jodhpur Princely State started constructing the Jodhpur–Bikaner Railway within the Rajputana Agency. In 1891, the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) wide metre gauge Jodhpur–Bikaner line was commissioned under the Rajputana-Malwa Railway, Jodhpur-Merta Road section was commissioned on 8 April, the Merta Road-Nagaur section on 16 October, and the Nagaur-Bikaner section on 9 December. In 1900, Jodhpur–Bikaner line combined with Jodhpur-Hyderabad Railway, some part of this railway is in Pakistan, leading to connection with Hyderabad of Sindh Province. In 1901–02, the Jodhpur–Bikaner line was extended to Bathinda in 1901–02 to connect it with the metre gauge section of the Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway and the meter gauge of North Western Railway Delhi–Fazilka line via Hanumangarh.In 1924, the combined entity Jodhpur and Bikaner Railways was split to function as two independent Railway companies. After Independence, a part of Jodhpur Railway went to West Pakistan. In 1926, the workshop at Bikaner (Lalgarh) was set up to carry out periodic overhauling of metre gauge coaches and wagons.In 1951, on 5 November the Jodhpur–Bikaner line was merged with the Western Railway. Sometime around or prior to 1991, the construction work for the conversion from meter gauge to 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) wide broad gauge of the Jodhpur–Bikaner line, along with the link to Phulera, were started,and it was already functioning as broad gauge Jodhpur–Merta City–Bikaner–Bathinda line by 2008. In 2002, on 1 October the North Western Railway zone came into existence.[8] In 2012, the Bikaner Heritage Rail Museum was opened at Bikaner to displays items related to the Jodhpur and Bikaner Railway.
  • In 1884, The Rajputana-Malwa Railway extended the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) wide metre gauge Delhi-Rewari section of Delhi–Fazilka line to Bathinda,which was The Southern Punjab Railway Co. opened the Delhi-Bathinda-Samasatta line in 1897.The line passed through Muktasar and Fazilka tehsils and provided direct connection through Samma Satta (now in Pakistan) to Karachi.
  • Earlier, Sindh Mail train operated on this route from 1900 to 1965 when the track was bombed out by the Pakistan Air Force in Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Thar Link Express was run started after 41 years in 2006 based on the earlier rail communication agreement. The rail communication agreement was signed by India and Pakistan in 1976, to ease the soured relations after the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 for the successful liberation of Bangladesh by Indian Army. The rail communication agreement is renewable every three years, and currently it is valid until January 2019.
